Sports Watch on ART TV

The segment on UMiSF 2011 was broadcasted on ART TV on 18th Wednesday at 9pm on "Sports Watch". Repeat telecast will be on 21st Saturday at 5.30pm and 22nd Sunday at 1.30pm. We will try our best to put the segment up on youtube just in case you miss the show.

Under 15 Draw Issue

Final Draws are out

From the link on your right you can now download the final set of draw sheets. Please notice that the files may not open in older versions of microsoft word. Please seek your family PC guru for help as we convert these files to make it compatible for older versions of microsoft word.

*UPDATE
The draws can now be viewed in older versions of microsoft word as well. Thank you for your patience. Please inform your friends about the finalized draws.

When downloading the new draws make sure you clear your web browsers cache. Or else it will download the older version of draws. If you don't know how to do this, the easiest work around is either use a different web browser which you didn't use to previously download draws or use another computer (say, your friends) which you haven't downloaded the draws before.

Dear Shuttlers,
We thank you for the feedback on the draws published. We also thank you for understanding that it is human nature to make errors.
We accept the fact that there were few errors on the draws published and with your help of pointing them out we will be able to publish them very soon. If there are any more errors, we invite you to kindly point them out. Please bear in mind that past performance of the player in OUR tournament will have more influence over the player's performances in other tournaments in making the draw.

The final draws will be published before midnight of 2nd of May. We kindly request you to spread the word that the players may download the draws again when the final version is out so as to avoid confusion.

For remote registrations please deposit entry fees to Acc. No. 71566443 of Bank of Ceylon, Katubedda Branch under the name N.K. Jayasooriya and post the deposit slip attached to the application form to Division of Physical Education, University of Moratuwa, Katubedda to reach us before the dead line.

UMiSF 2011- Brief Introduction

UMiSF stands for University of Moratuwa International Shuttlers' Fest. Every year Badminton Mora organizes
1) an inter-university event where university teams participate in a knockout competition and
2) a school event where the competition is held under 5 age categories.

This year we have invited several foreign universities as well to take part in the inter-university event. This will be the first time in Sri Lanka's university history that an international badminton fest will be organized. Therefore wish us luck. :)

However this won't affect the school tournament at all. It will be held just like last time but better. We have taken your previous year's feedback into account. The school event is planned to be held from 4th to 13th of May 2011. Still everything is in pipeline. Please stay with this website for the latest info.
